"Teamwork Makes The Dream Work"
Schedule 2018:
Jan 25 - Jan 28 Omega Dubai Desert Classic (European Tour)
Emirates GC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
My journey starts here. I know beforehand that it's a strong starting field and that the chance to get a Player's bag in this Tournament is very limited, even for a Caddie with greater and longer experience of life on Tour than me. I approached this first adventure as a "learning experience" to get a closer look on how the life of a Tour caddie works on Tour. The reason I chose Dubai was to give myself the chance to see how some of the world's best and most well-established players work together with their Caddie. After all, my dream almost came true, I had the "Caddie badge" on for about 25 minutes and was only 5 minutes away, from walking up the 10th Tee, Thursday afternoon with a players bag on my shoulder.
The margin was not on my side this time, but I had the opportunity to get acquainted with some players, some Caddies and a couple of people at the Tour Office. Next time I step into the Tour Office and "sign up", I know what to expect and I have a better insight into the preparations for the coming Thursday and the start of the Tournament.
The weeks to follow, I'll attend a couple of board meetings, make sure a move out works smoothly. Then my new quest and the pursuit of my dream to find a bag on one of the world's golf tour's continuous. I have never felt more devoted and committed to a new life mission.
